| Bio: | I really hate writing these things, but here we go. I was born to be outdoors. I love bright, hot sunshine and a good Houston thunderstorm. Road trips are my heaven. I constantly seek solitude. I love to read, cycle, hike, do yoga and sing, though there's never enough time to do as much as I'd like. I have frequent bouts of insomnia because there's so much I'd rather be doing than wasting time on sleep! I brew beer, make mead, make wine and cook a lot. I'm always searching for recipes for all three and frequently use my friends and hubby as guinea pigs. They don't complain too much. I spend about 65 hours a week as a high school choir director. At this point, I can't decide if I love or hate my job- I change my mind about every five minutes. I'm a classically trained musician and I try to stay active in the performing scene around Houston in my free time. Lastly, I'm married to a compassionate, hilarious, musical, sexy, outgoing and loving man, Erik. He (and my super-cute puppy Shannon) are my best friends. With them, life is good.  My favorite place on earth- the south rim of the Chisos Basin in Big Bend National Park.  Sunset through "The Window", Big Bend National Park.
